Let’s clear up the biggest question first.
To hang your license with CrossView Referral Realty, you need to have a Florida real estate license.
If you are only licensed in Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, California, or another state and have never held a Florida license, you cannot move that out-of-state license to CrossView.
We are a Florida brokerage, so the license affiliated with our brokerage needs to be a Florida real estate license.
But here’s where people sometimes get confused.
That does not mean you have to live in Florida.
Your Address Can Change Without Giving Up Your Florida License
Maybe you started your real estate career in Florida and then life took you somewhere else.
Your spouse got transferred.
You accepted a new job.
You retired and moved closer to family.
You decided Florida summers had finally won.
Whatever the reason, moving out of state does not automatically mean the Florida real estate license you worked for needs to disappear.
If you want to step away from actively selling real estate, you can move your Florida license to a referral-only brokerage such as CrossView Referral Realty and maintain it while living elsewhere.
You still need to stay current with the applicable Florida continuing education, renewal, and licensing requirements.
But you don’t need a Florida home address just to keep the Florida license.

Only an out-of-state license = not eligible to hang that license with CrossView.
Where you physically live is a separate question.
