A real estate referral brokerage is made up of sales/broker associates that are not members of a board of realtors and do not actively work with customers.  The purpose of the brokerage is to give sales/broker associates a place to keep their licenses active so they can receive referral commission checks without having to worry about paying board dues or working directly with customers.

A referral agent is someone who holds an active real estate license (in our case in the state of Florida) that, rather than actively working with a customer, chooses to refer them to another Realtor® who is actively working with customers. In return for referring the customer, the referral agent receives a referral fee once the customer closes.

Retiring agents, agents who are changing careers, agents moving to another state, agents taking a temporary break from real estate sales, new agents not yet ready to engage in active sales, and any agent who doesn’t want to throw away their valuable license.

The sky is the limit. You can refer as many people as you want. Think of all the potential leads with your family, friends, co-workers, past customers, neighbors, church, school, and trade organizations.

Visit our Join CV Referral page. Fill out the Join CrossView Referral Realty form. We will contact you to verify your information once we receive your form. You will then be emailed our referral agreement to sign electronically as well as an invoice to pay your enrollment fee. Once both are completed, your license will be made active with CrossView Referral Realty, LLC and you will be ready to start making money.

1. Receive permission to refer the customer to a local Realtor®.

2. Complete the referral form at Submit a Referral

3. Receive confirmation that your referral form was received by our office. (this will also include the name of the Realtor® that was given your referral - if you list the Realtor® you want us to send the customer to we will honor that)

4. Let the customer know who they should expect to hear from. 

5. Sit back and let us do our magic. Once the home closes, you will get paid the referral commission via direct deposit.

We try to make this as easy as possible for you.  Below you will find an example of what you would expect to receive as a referral fee assuming the sales price was $300,000 and the commission percentage received was 3%.  Referral agents will always receive 90% of the referral commission.

Example:

• Sales Closing Price: $300,000

• Commission Percentage:  3%

• Commission Check: $9,000

• Referral Commission of 25%: $2,250

• Referring Agent receives 90%: $2,025

Once the real estate transaction closes, the receiving brokerage will pay CrossView Referral Realty, LLC the agreed-upon referral fee. CrossView Referral Realty, LLC will then pay you 90% of the referral fee received via direct deposit.  It typically takes about a week to be paid after the home closes.

The enrollment fee is $60 and is due after you sign the CrossView referral agreement but before your license is moved to CrossView Referral Realty, LLC Once you pay the invoice, your license will be moved and you will be ready to send any referrals.

There is no annual cost to CrossView Referral Realty. However, you are still required to keep up with your CE (Continuing Education) requirement as well as renewal with DBPR.

Yes, to maintain your license, you must complete either post-licensing, (due your first time renewing) or continuing education (due every other year). Once you have completed the needed classes you will need to log into your DBPR profile and pay your renewal fees.

No, you cannot be a member of a board of realtors or join MLS. The exception to the rule is: if you hold a real estate license in another state, you can be a member of a board in that state just not in Florida.

This is not a problem. Once you complete the referral application and pay your enrollment fee, we will move your license to CrossView Referral Realty, LLC. There is nothing else you need to do unless you want to let your current broker know that you're moving your license (this is not required, just a nice gesture).

As long as you are up to date with your continuing education and DBPR requirements, then we will be able to move your license over to CrossView Referral Realty, LLC when you have completed the referral application and paid your enrollment fee. Once your license is moved over, it will become active.

No, you can live anywhere as long as you have a Florida real estate license in good standing. Remember, you can send referrals anywhere in the US and get paid a referral fee – just complete the referral form once you’re active under CrossView Referral Realty, LLC.

No, as part of our agreement with our local board, anyone part of CrossView Referral Realty, LLC will not work with any customers but will instead refer customers to a Realtor®.

No, we do not allow our agents to buy and sell their own investment properties. CrossView Referral Realty is designed for agents to 100% of the time refer to another agent.

Yes, if you have someone you want to work your referral you just put their name on the referral form when you submit it and we will work to get your referral over to your preferred Realtor®.  This is the case even if you are referring someone out of the area. If you don’t have a Realtor® in mind, don’t worry, we will get the perfect agent for your customer.

Yes! This is more than welcome. We have a network of Realtors® all over the US and are able to connect your referral with someone that can help them. You will want to make a note when you submit the referral form that you need a Realtor® outside of the area.

You can refer clients anywhere in the United States, as long as the receiving agent is licensed in their state. We’ll handle the paperwork and you get your referral fee once they close.

No — because CrossView Referral Realty is referral-only, you never need MLS access or board membership. That’s part of our value: no dues, no listings, just referrals.

If your license is inactive, we can help you get it reactivated through our brokerage, as long as you meet Florida’s continuing-education requirements and submit our referral-brokerage agreement.

We typically process payouts within 2-4 days after receiving the referral fee. You’ll receive 90% via direct deposit.

No. There are no minimum referral quotas, no production requirements, and no penalties. Send referrals when you have them — you’re in control.

Yes. As long as you hold a valid Florida real estate license and are registered with CrossView, your physical residence doesn’t matter. You can live anywhere.
